Ruched Bungee Tote

Ruching and feather printed canvas toe with multicolored cords as handles….this bag is definitely tops when it comes to style.

Amy Small Leather Shoulder Bag

While this looks like any other shoulder bag, it actually features something quirky and different with the way the polished buckled straps closes and flaps, as well as the style of the tonal braided shoulder strap.

Demanta Faithful Leather Clutch

I’m loving the latest bags from Alexander McQueen’s collection. This clutch, for example, still has that edgy style to it, but does not appear too radical unlike previous collections. The clutch bag is made of vegetable tanned leather and accented with golden hardware.

Scarlet Exotic Print Tote

Vibrant is the first word that comes to mind when I saw this bag. With its colors and the mix of zebra and python prints, the bag delivers life and oomph to once style and wardrobe. This is a Jimmy Choo.

Miss Lady Polka Dot Satin Clutch

Pretty polka dotted prints always come back in style. With a clutch bag designed for both day or evening wear, you should be able to max out its usability, whatever the current trend is.

Lino Twist Frame Shoulder Bag

Prada’s bag collection always pique my interest. I think they make some of the most fashionable bags there is. This particular one is of suede and linen frame and accented with python leather as well as a braided strap. The result is one gorgeous creation.

Bayswater Plum Loopy Patent Leather from Mulberry

The Bayswater line is one that is recognizable and easily identifiable and this particular bag sets it apart because of its plump patent leather. The splash of color makes the bag stand out. It’s fashionable, trendy and very cute. The bag comes with the signature lock hardware and the belted sides are adjustable.

Fashion Week Handbags: Burberry Prorsum Fall 2011

To say that I was critical of the last Burberry Prorsum handbag collection might actually be an understatement; I didn’t like the bags at all, and based on your reactions to our review, I wasn’t alone. Well, it looks as though Christopher Bailey’s accessories crew may have righted the ship in time for Burberry Prorsum Fall 2011 handbags – along with the collection’s splendid outwear, most of the handbags that hit the runway were intensely covetable.

I still don’t understand why Burberry insists on using its novacheck logo fabric on runway bags instead of relegating it to the regular line as most brands tend to do, but thankfully most of the tasseled satchels and smart, structured clutches were all leather. Burberry showed quite a bit of what appeared to be embossed crocodile as well, giving a collection full of texture yet another layer of visual interest. I would be happy to have every single structured clutch and all of the non-logo satchels from this show in my closet immediately.

Want it Wednesday: Fendi Silvana Flap Top Bag

Many of my choices for our Want it Wednesday category are both exotic and rather pricey. That is part of the lust factor – we all love something and yearn for it a little more the more it is out of reach. And as much as I love a holy grail dream list, I prefer floating on clouds of reality.

Colorblocking is a huge trend for spring and will continue to be prevalent into next fall. With everyone talking about colorblocking, I was thrilled to see many design houses giving us handbag options that fit the trend ever so perfectly. Fendi is not always on my radar, but theirSpring 2011 collection caught my attention early on.

And this Wednesday I am wanting to add the Fendi Silvana Flap Top Bag to my spring wardrobe.

The design actually comes from the Fendi archives and was inspired by late Italian screen star Silvana Mangano. The coloblocking is bold yet subtle. The beige canvas is offset with blue, green, and orange leather. Each color is on the neutral side and gives a soft feel to the overall palette.

Gone are the oversized cumbersome shapes we became accustomed to seeing and in are lady-like structured bags. This Fendi bag fits the new mold ideally. There is also an adjustable shoulder strap and flap top with a magnetic snap closure. I am wanting and loving this bag today!

Fashion Week Handbags: Victoria Beckham Fall 2011

I still can’t help but find it fascinating that Victoria Beckham not only designs a collection that just generally very well-received at New York Fashion Week, but also makes handbags that I’m totally beginning to covet. Victoria Beckham’s Fall 2011 runway show, which Beckham narrated herself with notes about the designs, featured an expansion of the brand’s bag line, now in its second season, and the results were almost uniformly successful.

The best pieces were those that built on Beckham’s vision from Spring 2011 – sharp, impeccably tailored handbags and clutches that would look spotlessly chic on the sort of women who never take off their heels. The collection also featured travel bags worn as cross-body backpacks of sorts, but because the styling made the bags difficult to see in their entirety, I’ll reserve judgment on those pieces until I can see them in person
